Welcome to San Francisco

We know your schedule at RISKWORLD will be jam-packed with sessions and meetings, but we hope you won't miss out on the unsung hero of the conference, the vibrant city of San Francisco!

Archipelago HQ is within walking distance to Moscone Center, so we know this neighborhood well.

Here’s our guide for the best eats, libations, and things to see within walking distance of the conference.

Where to go for:

Food & Drinks

Dirty Habit: Located in the Viceroy Hotel, a mere two blocks away. Our VP of Marketing, Vanessa Fincher recommends their rooftop patio as a perfect spot for post-conference drinks and nibbles. (Map)

Montesacro Pinseria: Roman-style pizzas in a vibrant electric atmosphere. Our CEO, Hemant Shah loves the adventurous, off-the-beaten-path vibe.  (Map)

Tropisueno: Fun Mexican restaurant with delicious food, great margaritas, and outdoor seating. Our CPO, Tim Anglade says the line is worth the wait! (Map)

Ippudo: This famed Japanese ramen chain is known for its tonkatsu-style ramen. Our CTO/COO, Roger Bodamer also enjoys the great atmosphere and small plates. (Map)

21st Amendment Brewery: A brewpub known for IPAs and pub grub. They have plenty of outdoor seating and a fun vibe; especially on Game Days at Oracle Park. (Map)

Turtle Tower: Their delicious Hà Nội Style Pho is recommended by our Senior People Operations Manager, Tina Gano. They are known for their chicken phở gà. (Map)

Cafe Madeline: Casual counter-service cafe that's perfect for a quick bite. Mariezen Alvarez, our People Operations Manager recommends the burrata salad.

Super Duper Burger: A favorite Bay Area fast-food chain that some Archipelago-ans think is better than In-N-Out!

Coffee/Tea:

Blue Bottle: Great pour-over coffee and New Orleans style cold brew (Map)

Philz Coffee: Custom blended coffees, teas, and pastries. If you like your coffee on the creamy and sweet side, try the Mint Mojito. (Map)

Boba Guys: Boba and sweet drinks made with heirloom tea leaves and organic milk. Try the Dirty Horchata or Strawberry Matcha! (Map)

Some Quiet Time Away from the Conference Bustle:

Yerba Buena Gardens: Just across the street from the conference is a green space where you can enjoy some fresh air and public art. Don’t miss the MLK Jr. Memorial Waterfall. (Map)

SF MOMA: Modern art museum next to Moscone Center. If you're short on time, check out the free-to-see art in their lobby. (Map)

Ferry Building: Historic landmark housing artisanal vendors selling food, cheese, ice cream, and more. Pick up a coffee and a snack and enjoy a stroll along the waterfront. (Map

Groceries and General Supplies:

There's a Target, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods within walking distance. The Target is especially convenient as it's in the Metreon Mall across the street from the Moscone Center.
